Nestled in the heart of the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in a remote corner of
Blount County, TN, Cades Cove is an 11-mile loop road where park
visitors can access the interior sections of the park and view
wildlife and natural scenes.
Although remote in location, the 11-mile loop road has a
seasonal average of 3,400 vehicles per day. The project consists
of the reconstruction of the entire 11-mile loop road, including
vehicle pull-offs and viewing areas, utilizing Full-Depth
Reclamation with cement.
